Barlowe House, c. 1955

Barlowe House in the 1950s.

Barlowe House is a 19th century georgian house in Orange Grove, Pintona. The house was built between 1804 and 1806 for Gregory Barlowe, who owned sugar plantations on that land. Barlow House went through many owners until 1953 when it was burnt in a fire. Little work was done to restore the house until 1980, though the work done was not very well made. In 2009, the house was purchased by a Lovian couple who have slowly been transforming the house. The house's restoration is being featured on TV series Restoration Madness.
